Appointment Of Non-Independent And Non-Executive Director

The Board of Directors of AEM Holdings Ltd. (the "Company") wishes to announce that Mr Cheong Kok Yew has been appointed as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director, and a member of the Remuneration Committee, of the Company with effect from January 19, 2009. Mr Cheong was previously the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Company from 11 May 2007 to 1 July 2008.

Mr Cheong is currently the Executive Vice President and Partner of Transpac Capital Pte. Ltd. Transpac Capital Pte. Ltd. is the parent company of Transpac Nominees Pte. Ltd., a substantial shareholder of the Company.
